Scatterbrain is a powerful audio effect plugin (AUv3, Audio Unit) that offers an array of cutting-edge features to enhance your music production. With Scatterbrain, you can effortlessly transform incoming audio into rhythmical steps and send them to multiple outputs within your plugin host.
One of the standout features of Scatterbrain is its two distinct modes:
- SEQ mode: With this mode, you have full control over how the steps are scattered across up to four different outputs. Alternatively, you can leave it to chance for a more unpredictable result.
- MIX mode: In this mode, you can dynamically mix the steps or automate their distribution across the available outputs. Triggering stutter repeats adds an extra layer of creativity.
Additionally, Scatterbrain offers a range of stutter and buffer effects. By recording incoming audio onto an internal tapeloop, you can use the buffer effects to introduce random slicer or stutter effects, adding a touch of chaos and mayhem to your sound.
It is important to note that to fully utilize the multi-out effect, this AUv3 plugin requires an AU host that supports multiple outputs. If your host does not have this capability, only the first channel will function.
Lastly, please bear in mind that due to its multi-out functionality, Scatterbrain does not have standalone capability. In order to unleash the full potential of this plugin, you will need a compatible plugin host.
